Arrangements in the Cathedral for Christmas and the new year, including masses and confessions.

The annual Cathedral Carol Service takes place on Tuesday 20 December 2022 at 7:30pm.

The Cathedral Choir will lead the congregation in much of the best-loved music of Christmas, in the candlelit nave of the Cathedral; and the story of Christmas will be told through readings from scripture.

The service lasts about an hour, and all are welcome.

Vox Orbis, directed by Mark Keane, gives its Christmas concert on Friday 9 December 2022 in the Cathedral.

A performance by Skjervøykoret, from Norway, supported by Cahir to Sing, in the Cathedral on Friday 14 October at 7:30pm.

A concert of music from Ireland and Japan, on Sunday 18 September at 7:30pm.

Esker Festival Orchestra gives a concert in the Cathedral on Friday 19 August at 8:00pm. The centrepiece of the concert is Mahler's Symphony no. 1, as well as music by Ernest Chausson and young Irish composer Kellie O'Neill.

Admission is €15 (concessions €10) at the door or online.

The Cathedral's annual series of international summer concerts, which have taken place online for the last two years, returns this July.

We present six concerts, on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm, featuring everything from music for saxophone quartet and organ to choral music from the early sixteenth century, and three organ recitals. The series finishes with a special platform concert featuring up-and-coming young musicians from the Galway area.

Queen's University Symphony Orchestra gives a concert in the Cathedral on Wednesday 8 June, beginning at 7:00pm.

Galway based choir Vox Orbis, directed by Mark Keane, performs two works by Michael Haydn in the Cathedral on Friday 3 June 2022.
