Because of the current COVID-19 restrictions, Easter in Galway Cathedral is being celebrated behind closed doors and streamed live on our Facebook page.
The Easter Triduum
- Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord's Supper at 8:00pm
- Good Friday: Celebration of the Passion of the Lord at 3:00pm
- Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil at 9:00pm
Easter Sunday
- Aifreann as Gaeilge: 9:00am
- Sung mass with cantor and organ: 11:00am
- Evening mass: 6:00pm
Bellarmine Choir
Bellarmine Oratorio Society, from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky (USA), visits the Cathedral on Saturday 29 February. The choir sings at the 6:00pm mass and presents a short recital afterwards also.
An Turas Naofa: a Journey through Galway’s Christian Heritage
A walk around five of the city’s historic churches, led by Br. Colmán Ó Clabaigh of Glenstal Abbey, takes place on Saturday 1 February 2020.
Solemn Novena 2020
The annual Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help runs this year from Monday 17 February until Tuesday 25 February 2020.

Vespers for St Nicholas
Vespers for the feast of St Nicholas, patron of the Cathedral and of the city, will be sung at 5:30pm on Friday 6 December 2019.

Carol Service
The annual Cathedral Carol Service takes place on Tuesday 17 December 2019 at 7:30pm.
October Rosary Procession
The annual candle-lit October rosary procession takes place in the Cathedral on the Sundays of October, beginning at 8:00pm each Sunday.
