The ever-popular Galway Cathedral Carol Service takes place on Tuesday 22 December 2015 at 19:30. The Cathedral Choir will lead the congregation in much of the best-loved music of Christmas, in the candlelit nave of the Cathedral.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception: 8 December

The Three Tenors - Ray O'Hare, Dominic McGorian and Derek Moloney - feature in a concert in the Cathedral on Friday 18 December at 20:00. Tickets cost €25.00, and are available at the Cathedral Bookshop, at Zhivago in Shop Street, and at the door.

A fund-raising concert in aid of the Simon Community takes place in the Cathedral on Friday 4 December 2015 at 19:45.

Vespers for the Faithful Departed will be celebrated in the Cathedral on Tuesday 24 November 2016, at 7:30pm.

St. Malachy (c.1095 – 1148) Feast day: 3 November

The choir of Christ United Methodist Church, from Rochester, in Minnesota in the USA, gives a free concert in the Cathedral on Wednesday 21 October 2015 at 8:00pm. The choir is directed by Andrew Galuska, who also plays the organ for the concert.

Enormously influential as a biblical scholar, and author of the Vulgate edition of the Sacred Scriptures.

The Priests, a platinum-selling group of three Roman Catholic priests from Northern Ireland, give a concert on Sunday 16 August at 20:00.
