The importance of high-quality music in the liturgy has been recognised in Galway Cathedral since the building was dedicated; we are lucky in having a large team of people who assist in this regard.

Galway Cathedral Choir

The Cathedral Choir is a volunteer adult choir which sings every Sunday at the 10:30 mass, and at all major ceremonies in the Cathedral. It is currently directed by Raymond O'Donnell. More...


A team of volunteer cantors leads congregational singing each Sunday at the 12:30 mass and on other occasions also. New cantors are always welcome - please contact the Director of Music.
