The annual series of summer concerts in Galway Cathedral begins in July, and continues with a concert each Thursday until August.

This annual series of concerts in the Cathedral was founded by Cathedral organist Raymond O'Donnell in 1994. Since then it has established itself as one of the major organ and Church Music recitals series in the country, and indeed the only one west of the Shannon.

While many different types of performance feature each year, at the centre of every series is the magnificent Cathedral organ. Rebuilt between 2006 and 2007 by Kildare-based organ builder Trevor Crowe, it is probably the best organ in the county; the quality of the sound combined with the wonderful Cathedral acoustic result in an experience not to be missed!

Full details of the series can be found on the Galway Cathedral Recitals website.
