The Midnight Mass for Christmas will be celebrated in the Cathedral by Bishop Martin Drennan at 22:00. Carols will be sung by the Cathedral Choir from 21:30.
Music at the Midnight Mass will include Haydn's Missa Brevis in F, with violins and soprano soloists, as well as many of the best-loved Christmas carols.
The Mass concludes with a procession to the crib, where Bishop Drennan will bless it and will place the figure of the Christ child in the manger.
