All Souls Day - 2 November - is when we commemorate all the faithful departed. Mass in the Cathedral will be celebrated at 9:00, 11:00 and 18:00.
Plenary Indulgences for the souls of the departed in Purgatory
- From 12.00 noon on 1 November until 12.00 midnight on 2 November, all who have confessed (within the week preceding or following 1 November), received Holy Communion (on any day between 1 and 8 November) and prayed for the Pope’s intentions may gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a church or oratory and there reciting one Our Father and the Apostle’s Creed.
- Those who visit a cemetery (including the Cathedral crypt) and pray for the dead may gain a plenary indulgence once per day between 1 and 8 November. The same conditions apply.
The Crypt of the Cathedral will be open between 2 and 10 November.
