Dagilėlis Boys Choir

The Dagilėlis Boys' Choir, from Lithuania, gives a concert in the Cathedral on Sunday 26 June 2016 at 19:00. Admission is free, and the concert will last about an hour.

Directed by Remigijus Adomaitis, the choir is one of the most prominent in Lithuania. It was founded in 1990 and since then has grown greatly, to the extent that an associated choral singing school was established in 1999. The choir gives several concerts a year in Lithuania and around the world, singing to critical acclaim in Europe, the USA and China. It has been awarded first prize in competitions in Lithuania, China, Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic.

The concert in Galway Cathedral on 26 June includes music by Bach, Handel, Fauré, Victoria, Elgar and others.
